E-Components & Chains Limited of Pocklington UK are pleased to announce their 4 colours of “Detectamet” Metal Detectable Plastic: Blue, Red, Green & Yellow are now all certified and conform to current European and American legislation (EU90/128 and FDA regulations), governing the use of plastics in Direct Contact with food.

Detectamet products in this range include: Colour Coded Shovels, Paddles, Forks, Hand Scoops, Scrapers and Stirrers.

The "Detectamet" Hygiene Range has been specifically developed for the
food/pharmaceutical processing industries etc and adds a new dimension to the claims of
using "all due diligence" .

The “Detectamet” products in this range are all produced from a specially formulated
material based on high impact food contact approved polypropylene. This
material has the ability to be detected and rejected by typical metal
detection machines used in the food processing industry.
